LAS VEGAS — An attempted armed robbery involving a group of people playing Pokémon Go ended in a shootout at a Las Vegas park early on Monday. <br /> <br />Las Vegas police spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said the shooting left a Pokémon player and the would-be robber in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to an Associated Press report. <br /> <br />Around 4 a.m., a group of six people were out at a public park playing the popular mobile phone app. <br /> <br />Authorities said Elvis Campos, 18, and a young driver drove up to the players in an SUV and demanded their possessions at gunpoint. <br /> <br />One of the Pokémon Go players, who has a concealed carry permit, pulled out his own gun and both parties exchanged fire, according to the AP. <br /> <br />One player was shot in the stomach, although Meltzer said it’s unclear if that person was the one with the concealed carry permit. <br /> <br />The aspiring robber was also treated at the hospital for a gunshot wound, the AP reported.
