A heartbreaking video has emerged that shows a baby elephant trying to wake up his dead mother. The ailing female elephant was found dead in Narasipuram forest area on the outskirts of Coimbatore city in Tamil Nadu with a calf next to her. He is seen moving around his dead mother, crying and guarding her. It took numerous attempts to separate the calf from his mother. A local vetinary doctor said that the cause of death of 25-year old female elephant was due to internal bleeding.
