There has been a huge explosion outside a military compound in the Afghan capital Kabul.<br /><br /> Witnesses said the blast struck just after 1am local time on Monday and was heard across most of the city.<br /><br /> Early reports suggest it was a lorry bomb and the compound was housing foreign contractors.<br /><br /> Four attackers are fighting at the site, according to a security services official.<br /><br /> The Taliban has claimed responsibility.<br />
