<br /> <p>After hunters killed her mother, an orphaned fawn was taken into the care of a wildlife rescuer and became good friends with a bird. Faline, named after Bambi’s</a> best friend, was rescued from Berkshire Park in Sydney’s west in December 2016. She was taken into the care of Jess and she quickly became friends with a crested pidgeon who groomed her and rode on her back as Faline went exploring around the house.</p><p>Jess said Faline couldn’t be released into the wild because deer are an introduced species in Australia.
