LONDON — A man was killed after he reportedly stuck his head out of a train window and was struck by another train. <br /> <br />The man died instantly after sustaining serious head injuries near the Wandsworth Common station right after 5:30 p.m. Sunday, ITV News reports. <br /> <br />The passenger on a Gatwick Express train was pronounced dead at Wandsworth Common station, south west of London on Sunday night, according to the Independent. <br /> <br />The London Ambulance Service said they were called to the station at 5:34 p.m., according to the Independent. <br /> <br />A British Transport Police spokesman said the accident happened as the train was making its way to London’s Victoria station, according to ITV News. <br /> <br />“Our investigation remains at an early stage, but initial enquiries suggest the man may have been leaning out of a train door window when he suffered a blow to the head,” the BTP spokesman said. <br /> <br />Officials said the man was in his 20s, and are trying confirm the his identity and contact his next of kin.
