Several people have been rescued after a fire broke out at a shopping mall in the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka, on Sunday (August 21) although no casualties have been reported. <br /> <br />Shoppers and workers fled the Bashundhara City mall, the city's second largest, as smoke and flames spread through parts of the building. <br /> <br />Some media reports said the fire started on the fifth or sixth floor of the 21-storey building, possibly in a shoe shop. <br /> <br />Bangladesh Fire Brigade Director Shakil Newaz Khan said the cause may have been an electrical fault but an investigation would be carried out to establish if that was the case. <br /> <br />Shakil Newaz Khan, a director of Bangladesh Fire Brigade told reporters that so far 8 people were rescued and a number of people are there. <br /> <br />In March 2009 a fire at the same shopping complex killed seven people.
