A poll by The Chicago Council confirms the fear of terrorism by many Americans.<br />The poll found that 42 percent of Americans feel that their country is less safe than it was before Sept. 11, 2001 — compared with 27 percent in a 2014 survey.<br />The study also reveals that 89 percent of Americans now say it is at least somewhat likely that occasional acts of terrorism will be a part of life in the future
