Lifetime has green-lit a 2-hour biopic of Britney Spears for early 2017, entitled 'Britney'.<br />The filmmakers have cast Natasha Bassett (Hail, Caesar!)<br />as the lead.<br />The biopic will tell the unauthorized tale of what Lifetime is calling the "tumultuous story" of Britney's rise to fame at a young age, her fall from grace and her eventual triumphant return to the spotlight.
