U.S. President Barack Obama will meet Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan during the G20 summit in China on September 4.<br />The White House said the aim of the meeting is to discuss strategies againstISIS and peace in Syria.<br />The US has condemned Turkey's push into areas in northern Syria, saying they are distracting from the fight against ISIS.<br />On Monday, Secretary of DefenseAsh Carter cautioned Turkish forces against advancing further southof the Syrian city of Jarablus and clashing with US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces.Obama's meeting is the latest in a string of high-level US officials' outreach to Turkish leaders.
