Rolling Stone Rocker Keith Richards Still Starts His Day With Joint<br /><br />71 year old guitarist Keith Richards from the rock band Rolling Stone did admit that he likes to smoke a joint in the morinings in an interview with MOJO magazine, saying 'I smoke regularly, early morning joint. Strictly Californian.' In 1978 after his fifth arrest, Keith quit his decade-long heroin habit but he only stopped using cocaine in 2006 when he fell out of a tree high on drugs and had to undergoa brain surgery and had a metal plate incorporated in his skull. Keith did admit that the only other mind-altering substance to pass his lips these days is alcohol. In his memoir Life he explained that the reason he survived while his peers overdosed and died at an early age is because of the high quality of drugs and controlled quantity of substances he took. Keith did mention that he hopes he has more years to live and he quoted 'Well, I'm not putting death on the agenda.'I don't want to see my old friend Lucifer just yet. He's the guy I'm gonna see, isn't it? I'm not going to the other place, let's face it.'
