RAQQA, SYRIA — A British Special Air Service sharpshooter killed a top militant soldier and three others using a single bullet.

U.S. and British forces had been targeting the “high-value” target , who was placed on their hit list for months.

Early last month, tipped off by a Syrian CIA agent, special forces were able to track the wanted man to a small village close to Raqqa in northern Syria.

The feared militant, is known for burning people alive. Just before the SAS shooter took him out, the militant and a group of followers were traveling to various compounds killing people they had deemed spies.

At this particular compound, the men were about to burn 12 civilians, eight men and four woman.

The SAS team had moved to an overwatch position above the village. As the man finished giving a speech, a SAS sniper, using a Barrett .50-caliber rifle from about 1,500 meters or roughly one mile away, fired at the terrorist.

The sniper’s bullet hit the executioner’s fuel container affixed to his back. The container exploded, engulfing and killing the executioner and three other jihadists.

The civilians were then rescued by special forces.
