BLACKSBURG, VIRGINIA — Virginia Tech looks set to become the dream school for every food-loving college student, as flying burrito deliveries could soon be a reality on campus.

Bloomberg reports that the Project Wing division of Google’s parent company, Alphabet Inc., has teamed up with Chipotle to test drone deliveries at Virginia Tech.

The experimental service began this month and will be running for a few weeks, though it’s currently limited to a selected group of school employees, students, and other recruits. Burritos, the only item on the menu, are prepared by workers at a nearby food truck. They’re packaged and loaded onto a drone.

The drone then flies the order to a pickup area and slowly lowers it to the ground.

According to the Roanoke Times, the drones carried the meals for a short distance— only about a tenth of a mile. Around 10 order were reportedly delivered in a span of 30 minutes.
