European Union leaders gathered in Slovakia, to seek a unified response to Britain’s Brexit decision.<br />German Chancellor Angela Merkel called for solidarity and a renewed sense of purpose as they attempt to find common ground.<br />"I hope that Bratislava stands for the fact that we want to work together, and we want the problems that there are in Europe to be solved.<br />We have to show through actions that we can make it better."<br />The alliance is very divided over how to absorb more than 1 million migrants who have traveled to Europe and over issues regarding economic growth and trade.<br />"Following Brexit, business as usual is not an option.<br />We can either come out of this crisis weaker and conflicted, or stronger and more united," -European Council President Donald Tusk
