The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society, released November 1968, is the 6th album by the Kinks and last to feature the original lineup. <br />Although it did not chart, the album is thought of as one of the most influential and important of the group. Originally planned as a two record set, the Kinks’ label, Pye Records rejected the plan and after a 12 song album was initially released, settled on the 15 track album that is found today
