World leaders and dignitaries from 70 countries poured into Israel for the state funeral of Israel’s ninth president, Shimon Peres, in Jerusalem on Friday.<br />Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu describedhim as "a great man of the world", as he led the eulogies.<br />Netanyahu shook hands briefly with PA president Mahmoud Abbas at the beginning of the ceremony.Barack Obama evoked the “unfinished business” of the Israeli-Palestinianpeace process as he delivered a pointed and moving tribute at the funeral.<br />Former US PresidentBill Clinton, who helped negotiate the Oslo peace accords between Israel and the Palestinians in the 1990s, said hewas Israel's "biggest dreamer".<br />Peres’s death on Wednesday at the age of 93 led to anoutpouring of tributes.<br />In a career spanning seven decades, Peres held nearly every major office in Israel, serving twice as prime minister, and as president from 2007 to 2014.
