<br /> <p>A family of cassowary birds met with tragedy after a car killed two chicks in north Queensland, despite the presence of warning signs for motorists. The Brisbane Times</a> report that two chicks were killed by a vehicle and that, the Minister for Main Roads and Road Safety, Mark Bailey said their deaths were a “terrible outcome”.</p><p>The parent, a male Cassowary nicknamed Yellow Knees, can be seen in the video trying to control his children as they run wild in the midst of traffic.
