The most powerful Caribbean hurricane in nearly a decade has left thousands of people displaced in Haiti.<br />At least 11 deaths had been blamed on the powerful storm during its weeklong march across the Caribbean, five of them in Haiti.<br />The storm has now moved off the north-eastern coast of Cuba towards Florida, where warnings are in place.
