No Major Injuries Reported After Explosion Levels Two New Jersey Homes

<br /> <p>A gas leak caused an explosion in a residential area on Goshen Street in Paterson, New Jersey, on Tuesday, October 4. Two homes were destroyed and 15 others were damaged as a result of the blast, reported ABC 7 in New York.</a></p><br /><p>All 38 residents who were evacuated from the Goshen Street block were accounted for, ABC News reported.</a> Ten firefighters were transported to the hospital as a preventative measure. No other injuries were reported.</p><p>According to a statement</a> from PSE&G, the gas company in Paterson, the fire department was called at approximately 9:15 am about a strong odor of gas. The fire department then evacuated residents, as gas crews and service technicians were responding.</p><br /><p>Passaic County Water also reported possible</a> discolored water in the area but that it is safe to drink.
