GEOMAGNETIC STORM UNDERWAY: A G1-class geomagnetic storm is underway on Oct. 25th as Earth enters a stream of solar wind flowing from a coronal hole on the sun. Storm levels could intensify to G2 as our planet moves deeper into the stream on Oct. 25-26. http://spaceweather.com/ <br /> <br />A massive coronal hole is now turning into a geoeffective Earth facing position. <br />The solar wind speed increased to above 600 km/sec and going. <br /> <br />When this same coronal hole feature faced Earth in late September, the solar wind speed increased to above 700 km/s and brought along with it periods of Moderate (G2) geomagnetic storming.
