Tech titan Peter Thiel has been forced to defend his decision to support GOP nominee Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election quite a bit.
While at a Trump campaign event in Washington D.C. this Monday, Thiel argued that the candidates ideas and support will not wither and go away even if he loses the election.
"No matter what happens in this election, what Trump represents is not crazy, and it’s not going away.
He points to a new Republican Party beyond the dogmas of Reaganism," Thiel said.
"It’s not a lack of judgment that leads Americans to vote for Trump.
We’re voting for Trump because we judge the leadership of our country to have failed.”
Thiel mentioned that he'd wished that the final two candidates in this election were Trump and Bernie Sanders because both "felt the decline" of America.
