FBI Director James Comey argued against publicly disclosing the U.S. intelligence community's conclusion that Russia was behind hacks into U.S. political institutions, CNBC first reported on Monday, citing “a former FBI official.” Word of the internal government debate comes as Mr Comey is under fire for notifying Congress 11 days before election day that new emails related to the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s private server had been discovered and would be reviewed by the FBI. “It is impossible to view this as anything less than a blatant double standard,” Robby Mook, Mrs Clinton’s campaign manager, told reporters on a conference call.
