Students have clashed with police at Dillard University in Louisiana at a protest against former KKK leader.<br /><br /> David Duke was on campus to take part in a debate with other candidates running for the US Senate. <br /><br /> His inclusion in the debate angered students at the historically black college.<br /><br /> After hours of peaceful demos, a group tried to enter the debate hall and police used pepper spray on the protesters.<br /><br /> “I was covered on my shirt, my arms, my face — they are pepper-spraying. They are body slamming people,” said one of the student demonstrators.<br /><br /> Duke is backing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.<br /><br /> When Trump won the party’s nomination in July, Duke stated his intention to run for the Senate saying “the climate of this country has moved in my direction.”<br />
