Design in Dubai, twice a year the city organises exhibitions to showcase the latest innovations.<br /><br /> It is no surprise that Italian design is a feature in Dubai. <br /><br /> Sixteen Italian companies <br />represent the country, which exports hundreds of millions of euros of design products to the United Arab Emirates. <br /><br /> Gianpaolo Bruno is the Italian trade commissioner to UAE:<br />“The locals really appreciate the quality, the style, the elegance of our designers both small and large companies. So we are here to invest in promotion.”<br /><br /> Design Week Dubai, is an exhibition of cutting edge design with technical and artistic excellence.<br /><br /> ‘Manifesto Design’ works with carpets made from banana material. <br /><br /> Their goal is the exclusive use of natural elements processed in the least invasive manner possible.<br /><br /> Euronews correspondent Rita Del Prete is in Dubai: “Italian design has combined with the UAE culture. I believe that luxury, on a certain level, can be handed down and brought to all these countries where there is a need of attention to detail and to quality. I believe that, in the end quality pays, to work with quality.”<br /><br /> At the four days of the Dubai Design Week, more than 150 design-related exhibitions, fairs and events have been taking place across the emirate.<br />
