Jury selection begins on Monday in the trial of Dylann Roof, 22, who is charged with killing nine African Americans in a Charleston church.<br />Roof faces 33 federal charges for the mass shooting at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church on June 17, 2015.<br />The Justice Department says Roof picked the church because he wanted to incite a race war.<br />A total of 12 jurors will be selected from a pool of more than 500 Charleston-area residents.
