Voters in California, Massachusetts and Nevada passed a ballot initiative to legalize recreational marijuana.<br />This is the biggest electoral victory for the marijuana reform since 2012, when Colorado and Washington first approved marijuana for recreational use.<br />Adults over 21 can now use, possess, and transport an ounce of marijuana for recreational purposes.<br />The new bill imposes a 15 percent sales tax on marijuana, generating up to $1 billion in new tax revenue annually.
