The Iraqi army operation is facing fierce resistance as it continues to try to push ISIL out of the city of Mosul.<br />But Kurdish Peshmerga fighters say they have succeeded in clearing the town of Bashiqa, north-east of Mosul, of ISIL fighters.<br />
