Hillary Clinton blamed FBI director James Comey for her surprising defeat in Tuesday's elections.<br />Clinton told donors on a conference call that Comey's decision to reinstate the investigation into her emails only days before the election was the reason for her loss.<br />"Our analysis is that Comey’s letter raising doubts that were groundless, baseless, proven to be, stopped our momentum," Clinton told donors, according to the New York Times.<br />Comey announced new emails had been discovered on October 28.<br />However, he dismissed the emails only a week later.
