On Monday, the moon will be the closest it has ever been to Earth since 1948.<br />The Full Beaver Moon of November, known as the supermoon, will appear 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than the average monthly full moon.<br />The moon won't look this large again until 2034.<br />A supermoon occurs when the full phase is taking place at the moon's closest point in its orbit around the Earth.
