Dozens killed in India train derailment

At least 60 people are reported dead after a train derailed in nothern India on Sunday morning.<br /><br /> It happened in the early hours in the nation’s biggest state, Uttar Pradesh.<br /><br /> The train was travelling between the northeastern city of Patna and the central city of Indore.<br /><br /> More than 150 people are said to be injured.<br /><br /> As rescue operations continue, it is still not clear what caused the accident.<br /><br /> Suresh Prabhu, India’s Railways Minister, said in a tweet that the government would immediately investigate the causes of the derailment and promised accountability with the “strictest possible action”.<br /><br /> <br /><br /><br /> Strictest possible action will be taken against those who could be responsible for accident,All possible mobilisation for relief initiated— Suresh Prabhu (@sureshpprabhu) 20 novembre 2016<br /> <br /><br /> <br /><br /><br /> India’s creaking railway system, the world’s fourth largest, has a poor safety record and derailments are frequent.<br /><br /> Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to express his condolences.<br /><br /> “Anguished beyond words on the loss of lives due to the derailing of the Patna-Indore express.
