Google has tweaked their Popular Time widget to now allow you to see if a restaurant or bar is busy before you get there. Popular Time is a widget that Google introduced last year to show users what times where most popular at places of interest. The feature appears when you search for a bar or restaurant and then uses a series of anonymous searches and location data to figure out how busy a place currently is. Google also tells you how long people generally stay at the place and offers you the chance to correct it if it gets something wrong.
