A long time ago I first heard this piece and from that point on pretty much worshiped Rick wakeman. I wore that old vinyl album out from playing it so much. I've wanted to play this piece for years and finally did it.I love playing synths as synths - electronic waveforms. I do like emulating instruments too, but just playing with a Moog sound is where my true heart is.It took a long time to figure this one out. Frankly, parts of it aren't exact - I couldn't pick out all the notes, so in a few places I did my best approximation. It's not perfect, but it's pretty much as close as I can get it and I needed to finish this project and move on. So here it is.

Oh - and Mr. Wakeman - I apologize for all those nasty things I said about you and those nasty names I called you while I was learning this. You sir are a GOD! To play so fast, so intricate, so smooth... just crazy. No way can you just be a regular human.

The video in the background is titled "Mammoth run with inserts 2011" by Christian Williams on Vimeo.

Rick Wakeman
White rock
1976 Winter olympics
Soundtrack
Searching for gold
Innsbruck, Austria
