How to watch the Geminids TONIGHT <br />When is the Geminid meteor shower 2016? <br /> <br />Astronomers will look out for the Geminids tonight ahead of the meteor shower’s peak tomorrow night (Tuesday December 13 into Wednesday December 14). <br /> <br />The meteor shower tends to start at about 10pm in the evening and continues throughout the night as the Gemini constellation rises in the sky. <br /> <br />The Geminids usually produce the most meteors at around 2am with as many as 120 shooting stars per hour seen during the peak <br />But unfortunately this year’s meteor shower coincides with the last supermoon of 2016 on Wednesday December 14. <br /> <br />US space agency NASA says: “The Geminids are typically one of the best and most reliable of the annual meteor showers. <br /> <br />“It’s usually one of the best opportunities for kids who don't stay up late, because it gets going around 9 or 10pm local time. <br /> <br />“However, a full moon will outshine the shower in 2016.
