Varun Dhawan, who will be seen in a never-before-seen avatar in Sriram Raghavan's dark thriller Badlapur, claims that apart from his friends and well-wishers, even his father David Dhawan felt that he was taking a big risk by giving his nod to this project.<br /><br />Varun, who has been mostly seen in the rom-com space till now, will be seen in a dark role in Badlapur and talking about the role, Varun said that everyone, including his father David Dhawan felt that Varun was taking a major risk in his career by playing such a role.
