BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MICHIGAN — An Uber driver is in jail this week after he allegedly stabbed a passenger five times for tapping on his car window. <br /> <br />According to a Bloomfield Township police report posted by ClickOnDetroit, Jacob Matthew Allemon, aged 23, picked up a couple from a holiday party in Bloomfield, Michigan early Saturday morning. <br /> <br />The man tapped on Allemon’s window to let them know they were coming into his car. Police say Allemon felt this action was disrespectful to his vehicle. <br /> <br />He drove them for around a mile, then stopped at a parking lot and told them to get out. The couple asked if they could wait for another ride, since they were in the middle of a snowstorm. <br /> <br />Instead, Allemon started fighting with the man. He reportedly stabbed him five times in his face, chest and neck, but, amazingly the 49-year-old victim managed to disarm and restrain him until a nearby police officer arrived. <br /> <br />According to the Detroit Free Press, the victim was treated at a hospital and released the following day. <br /> <br />Allemon, meanwhile, was charged with assault and is being held on $250,000 bond. Uber banned him from the ride-hailing app and described the incident as “appalling.”
