Russia mourns plane crash dead

Sochi’s seafront has become a place of mourning, as residents lay flowers and light candles to honour the victims of Sunday’s plane crash. <br /><br /> The Defence Ministry plane crashed shortly after taking off from the city on the Black Sea. <br /><br /> Maxim Sokolov, Russian Transport minister, visited Sochi airport to lead commemorations and lay flowers at a makeshift memorial. <br /><br /> Officials and residents also lit candles and prayed for the dead in the airport chapel. <br /><br /> 92 people, 84 passengers and 8 crew, were on board when the plane dropped off radar<br />shortly after take off<br /><br /> Solokov said that no survivors were found, though the investigation continues. <br /><br /> In Moscow, staff at Russian’s Channel One, NTV and Zvezda TV stations remembered their nine journalists killed in the crash. <br /><br /> A memorial to the journalists was set up outside Moscow’s Ostankino TV Center, <br /><br /> And head of Channel One, Konstantin Ernst, and Oleg Dobrodeev, head of the All Russian State broadcasting company, laid flowers at the memorial. <br /><br /> Vigils for the victims will continue across Russia, as President Putin declares a day of morning to be held on Monday.<br />
