At a promotional event of the film when Ekta was asked who actually is her heroine, a Goddess like she portrays in her TV serials or a Daayan like in the movie, she said, "A woman is neither a Lakshmi nor a daayan, it depends on who is in front of her ... If her husband is like Lord Vishnu, she is Lakshmi, if he is a devil she turns into daayan."<br />Directed by Kannan Iyer, the film features Emraan Hashmi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kalki Koechlinand Huma Qureshi in the lead roles and is slated to release on April 18, this year.
