Actor Ranbir Kapoor has turned singer for his upcoming film Barfi!. The actor will be lending his voice to a song called Phataphati ('awesome' in Bengali). The first few lines of the song are in Bengali, while the rest are in Hindi.<br />The film's director Anurag Basu and the music director Pritam have also crooned for this particular track.<br />Anurag was quoted saying that they had recorded the song and shot the video a while back and that they released it only after they realized that it had turned out very well.<br />Basu added that the song will be available online and will be on air on television.<br />However, the song will not be featured in the film. Ranbir plays a deaf and mute person named Murphy in the film, which also stars Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D'Cruz. <br />Barfi! is set to release on September 14.
