Russia responded to President Barack Obama's punishments doled out Thursday, which saw sanctions placed on four Russian individuals and five Russian entities for their role in the presidential election hacking. According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, the country will respond to any "hostile threats" taken by the U.S. Additionally, Zakharova said similar steps would be taken in response to the expulsions of the 35 Russian diplomats ordered to leave the country. Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin, said that he is "in no rush to make a decision." The Russian Embassy in the U.K. tweeted this in response to Obama's actions.
