Officials say deadly twin blasts in the Afghan capital appear to have targeted MPs.<br /><br /> At least 23 people have been killed and dozens are believed to be injured following the explosions near the offices of the parliament in Kabul. <br /><br /> A suicide bomber reportedly blew himself up, followed immediately afterwards by a car bomber, in what authorities say seems to have been a coordinated operation.<br /><br /> The Afghan Taliban has claimed the attacks. It has been battling to overthrow the country’s western-backed government and to drive out foreign troops.<br /><br /> It follows a period of relative calm in Kabul.<br />
