X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter is the followup to Totally Games' previous X-Wing and TIE Fighter space combat sims. Upon launch it did not feature a single player campaign, but the expansion pack, Balance of Power, introduced more content. XvT is primarly a multiplayer pvp game, but there are a number of historical battles included that can be played single-player or multi-player. XvT's graphics are greatly improved from the previous games, but the updated 1998 versions of each actually used XvT's engine, so you won't see a sizable difference between those. <br /> <br />Like all of Totally Games' Star Wars space combat sims, XvT is quite challenging, but extremely fun. Gameplay controls are almost identical to those of TIE Fighter and X-Wing, and also to those of X-Wing Alliance. XvT's training missions are based off those from TIE Fighter, except you can fly any ship you desire through any mission.
