BEIJING — Netizens on social media site Weibo watched in horror as a man in China mercilessly killed a small, defenseless animal while streaming it in real time, claiming it was revenge.

The People’s Daily reports that back in November, the unidentified man got stuck in a highway traffic jam caused by animal rescuers. He was on the way to see a dying relative, but got there half an hour too late.

He blamed animal lovers for his missed opportunity and decided he’d take it out on the thing they loved most.

He posted a photo of two puppies, which he said were brothers, then announced that one would go to a pet store, while one would “put on a show.” Later, he uploaded photos showing one of the pups being strangled with a rope, adding something more painful was coming.

A day later, the man tied the puppy to a mat. He then used a scalpel to cut open the animal, who whimpered in pain as the cold-blooded sicko livestreamed the dissection. By the end of the video, the poor puppy had been completely cut open, exposing its rib cage and internal organs.

The man’s cruel act and twisted reasoning enraged Weibo users. Unfortunately, in China, there are no laws or regulations that strictly ban livestreamed dissections of animals.
