This time-lapse video, taken by British worker Chas Pope, shows a thick wall of smog descend upon Beijing earlier this week. It only took 20 minutes for the entire city to be blanketed.<p>Chinese officials declared a red alert — the most severe warning — last month as pollution levels reached hazardous levels.
