A funny video has emerged of a science teacher attempting to film a 360 VR video of a liquid nitrogen-powered rocket launch, only for the device to explode in his hands.

The video, filmed in Australia this week, shows Jacob Strickling, from the YouTube channel MakeScienceFun, filling his hand-made rocket with liquid nitrogen but instead of launching into the sky, the top blows off.

"The liquid nitrogen was supposed to blast the water out the bottom which would have then pushed the rocket upwards (Newtons third law)," Jacob wrote online.

Thankfully, no one was injured and Jacob may "re-evaluate" this particular demonstration.
