There are two train stations in Nanning. This one is the more modern one, called Nanning east. At the time of our visit, there was a major construction project taking place right in front of the station. It does not change anything about getting around the station but it impacts the access to the station. <br />This station has a lot of stairs and the escalators inside the station were not working. Porters, aka, "red caps" are available to help you carry your luggage. <br />The video will also show you the location of the counter where they speak English. This is the counter where you buy the train tickets to Hanoi. <br />We can also book the Nanning to Hanoi (or Hanoi to Nanning) tickets for you ahead of time. From this station, there is also a shuttle bus to the airport. <br />The trains from Nanning to Hanoi depart from the other station. We found that the best way to transfer between the two stations is to take a train.
