Don't forget to try this fulfilling and delicious recipe by our chef Seema and remember to post in your comments below. <br /> <br />Ingredients <br />4 tbsp ghee <br />1/2 tsp hing (Asafoetida) <br />3-4 bay leaves <br />2 tsp cumin seeds <br />1 tbsp chopped ginger <br />1 tsp black pepper <br />2 chopped green chillies <br />1 chopped onion <br />2 chopped tomatoes <br />Salt <br />1/2 tsp turmeric powder <br />1 cup chopped frash bean <br />1 cup chopped carrot <br />1 chopped potato <br />1 cup green peas <br />1/2 moong dal <br />2 cup rice <br />Coriander leaves <br />1 cup chopped capsicum <br />3 red chillies <br />Butter <br /> <br />Method <br />In a pressure cooker add 4 tbsp ghee, 1/2 tsp hing (Asafoetida), 3-4 bay leaves, 2 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tbsp chopped ginger, 1 tsp black pepper, 2 chopped green chillies, 1 chopped onion, stir it nicely and cook for around 2-3 mins. <br /> <br />Add 2 chopped tomatoes, Salt, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 cup chopped frash bean, 1 cup chopped carrot, 1 chopped potato, 1 cup green peas and mix it well. <br /> <br />Add 1/2 moong dal, 2 cup rice, coriander leaves, mix well and add 2 and half cups of water, put the lid and cook it for 4 whistles. <br /> <br />Add 1 cup hot water and 1 cup chopped capsicum give it a mix. <br /> <br />Garnish it with 3 red chillies, chopped coriander leaves and butter. <br /> <br />Spicy and tasty Masala Khichdi is ready to be served!
