How to Cook Chinese New Year Soy Sauce Braised Chicken with Shiitake Mushroom. <br /> <br />Ingredients: <br />-Half Chicken (Chopped into bite size pieces) <br />-12 Dry Shiitake mushrooms (Soak in water) <br />-1 tbsp dark soy sauce <br />-1 tbsp light soy sauce <br />-1 tbsp oyster sauce <br />-1 tbsp chinese cooking wine <br />-5 cloves of garlic <br />-5 slices of ginger <br />-1 tsp cornflour (mix with 2 tbsp of water) <br />-1 tbsp oil <br /> <br />Steps: <br />1. Marinade the chicken with dark and light soy sauce, oyster sauce and chinese cooking wine. Marinade for at least 20minutes. <br />2. Add oil to a heated wok, saute the garlic and ginger till aromatic. <br />3. Add the chicken into the wok. <br />4. Add the Mushrooms into the wok. <br />5. Add water and simmer under low heat for half an hour. Add more water when needed. <br />6. Lastly, add cornflour mixture for thickening the gravy. <br /> <br />Thanks for watching.
