Let’s take that one step further — bike helmets with turn signals. The Lumos bike helmet</a> was built for safety-conscious bikers with 50 LEDs controlled through a wireless remote clipped to the handlebar. An embedded accelerometer automatically triggers the brake lights when you decelerate. After raising $800,000 on Kickstarter, Lumos has now started producing and shipping thousands of helmets.
