WINTER MELON SOUP <br />----------------------------------- <br /> <br />This recipe is ideal for hot summer days to nourish and cool <br />down and soothe the body heat and a balance of food nourishment. Asians are using this great recipe for centuries <br />especially China and Japan. Sometimes, you can use winter melon <br />to boil with just honey or sugar as a sweet cooling soup. <br /> <br /> <br />Ingredients <br />------------------ <br />500gm winter melon (cut into chunks) <br />500gm pork ribs <br />1 piece of dry shell fish (washed) <br />2 honey dates <br />1 tablespoon of goji berries( washed) <br />1/4 teaspoon salt <br /> <br />Method <br />----------- <br />1.In a slow cooker or a smart cooker, boil 8 <br />cups of water. Select soup function and set the timer to 4 hrs. <br /> You can set for 2 hrs if you dont want a long boil. <br />2.Parboil the pork ribs in boiling water for 5 mins to get rid of any impurities.Take out. <br />3.when water boils,add winter melon,pork ribs,dried shellfish and honey dates. <br />4.After 10mins of the remaining time add goji berries and salt. <br />5.The soup is ready when the keep warm function is on.Soup is now ready to serve. <br /> <br />Pls LOVE and FOLLOW! <br /> <br />Thanks for watching
