<br /> <p>A barrage of water continued to rush down a damaged spillway at the Oroville Dam in Northern California on Friday, February 17, as authorities continued to regulate the amount of water passing through to protect the area from flooding.</p><p>Though rain was expected to return</a> over the weekend, authorities continued to use rock and concrete to counter shore up holes in the main spillway and counter erosion.</p><br /><p>Prior to the use of the untested emergency spillway on February 11, officials, fearing a possible collapse, ordered the evacuation of close to 190,000 people</a> living in the Feather River Basin below the dam.
