SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA — A new product designed for law enforcement officers can trigger an officer’s body cameras to start recording automatically. <br /> <br />The Signal Sidearm, designed by Taser International, is a wireless sensor that attaches to an existing police firearm holster. It can be connected to dash cameras, body cams and other wearable cameras such as headcams. <br /> <br />When a gun is drawn from the holster, it triggers all cameras within 30 feet to record automatically, which helps provide recordings of the same event from different perspectives. <br /> <br />The product will be available in the third quarter of 2017.
